14. Bonus Duas
The authentic and respectful dua related to intimacy with one’s wife,
including the first night. This is a beautiful and important Sunnah that brings
blessings and protection.
1. Dua for Waking Up
Arabic:
اَلْـحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ
النُّشُورُ
Roman:
Alhamdu lillaahil-ladhee 'ahyaanaa ba'da maa amaatanaa wa ilayhin-nushoor
English:
All praise is for Allah who gave us life after causing us to die, and to Him is
the resurrection.
2. Dua Before Sleeping
Arabic:
بِاسْمِكَ اللَّهُمَّ أَحْيَا وَأَمُوتُ
Roman:
Bismika Allaahumma ahyaa wa amoot
English:
In Your name, O Allah, I live and I die.
3. Dua When Entering the Toilet
Arabic:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْخُبُثِ وَالْخَبَائِثِ
Roman:
Allahumma innee a'oodhu bika minal-khubthi wal-khabaa'ith
English:
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the male and female devils.
4. Dua After Leaving the Toilet
Arabic:
غُفْرَانَكَ
Roman:
Ghufraanaka
English:
I seek Your forgiveness.
5. Dua Before Eating
Arabic:
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ
Roman:
Bismillah
English:
In the name of Allah.
6. Dua After Eating
Arabic:
الْـحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنِي هَذَا، وَرَزَقَنِيهِ، مِنْ غَيْرِ حَوْلٍ
مِنِّي وَلَا قُوَّةٍ
Roman:
Alhamdu lillaahil-ladhee at'amanee haadha, wa razaqaneehi, min ghayri hawlin
minnee wa laa quwwah
English:
All praise is for Allah who fed me this and provided it for me without any
might nor power from myself.
7. Dua When Leaving the House
Arabic:
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ، وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا
بِاللَّهِ
Roman:
Bismillaahi, tawakkaltu 'alaallaahi, wa laa hawla wa laa quwwata illaa billaah
English:
In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no might nor
power except with Allah.
8. Dua When Entering the House
Arabic:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ الْمَوْلَجِ وَخَيْرَ الْمَخْرَجِ، بِسْمِ
اللَّهِ وَلَجْنَا، وَبِسْمِ اللَّهِ خَرَجْنَا، وَعَلَى اللَّهِ رَبِّنَا
تَوَكَّلْنَا
Roman:
Allahumma innee as'aluka khayral-mawlaji wa khayral-makhraji, bismillaahi
walajnaa, wa bismillaahi kharajnaa, wa 'alaallaahi rabbinaa tawakkalnaa
English:
O Allah, I ask You for the best entering and the best exiting. In the name of
Allah we enter, and in the name of Allah we leave, and upon our Lord we place
our trust.
9. Dua for Traveling
Arabic:
سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ، وَإِنَّا
إِلَى رَبِّنَا لَمُنقَلِبُونَ
Roman:
Subhaanalladhee sakhkhara lanaa haadhaa wa maa kunnaa lahu muqrineen. Wa innaa
ilaa rabbinaa lamunqaliboon
English:
Glory is to Him Who has subjected this (transport) to us, and we could never
have accomplished it (by ourselves), and indeed, to our Lord we will surely
return.
10. Dua for Entering the Mosque
Arabic:
اللَّهُمَّ افْتَحْ لِي أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ
Roman:
Allahumma iftah lee abwaaba rahmatik
English:
O Allah, open the gates of Your mercy for me.
11. Dua for Entering the Masjid
Arabic:
اللّٰهُمَّ افْتَحْ لِي أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ
Roman:
Allahumma iftah lee abwaaba rahmatik
Translation:
O Allah, open the doors of Your mercy for me.
12. Dua for Leaving the Masjid
Arabic:
اللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ
Roman:
Allahumma innee as’aluka min fadlik
Translation:
O Allah, I ask You from Your bounty.
13. Dua Before Starting a Journey
Arabic:
اللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ... سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَذَا...
Roman:
Allahu Akbar… Subhaanalladhee sakhkhara lanaa haadhaa wa maa kunnaa lahu
muqrineen, wa innaa ilaa rabbinaa lamunqaliboon
Translation:
Allah is the Greatest… Glory is to Him Who has subjected this to us, and to our
Lord we will surely return.
14. Dua Upon Arrival from a Journey
Arabic:
آيِبُونَ، تَائِبُونَ، عَابِدُونَ، لِرَبِّنَا حَامِدُونَ
Roman:
Aayiboon, taa’iboon, ‘aabidoon, li rabbinaa haamidoon
Translation:
We return, repenting, worshiping, and praising our Lord.
15. Dua for Safety & Protection
Arabic:
بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ...
Roman:
Bismillaahil-ladhee laa yadurru ma‘a ismihi shay’un fil-ardi wa laa
fis-samaa’i wa huwa as-Samee‘ul-‘Aleem
Translation:
In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing is harmed on earth or in the
heavens...
16. Dua Before Studying or Seeking
Knowledge
Arabic:
رَبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا
Roman:
Rabbi zidnee ‘ilmaa
Translation:
My Lord, increase me in knowledge.
17. Dua in Times of Difficulty
Arabic:
اللّٰهُمَّ رَحْمَتَكَ أَرْجُو...
Roman:
Allahumma rahmataka arjoo, falaa takilnee ilaa nafsee tarfata ‘aynin
Translation:
O Allah, I hope for Your mercy. Do not leave me to myself even for a blink of
an eye.
18. Dua for Anxiety and Sorrow
Arabic:
اللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ
Roman:
Allahumma innee a’oodhu bika minal-hammi wal-hazan
Translation:
O Allah, I seek refuge with You from worry and sorrow.
19. Dua for Forgiveness
Arabic:
رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَتُبْ عَلَيَّ...
Roman:
Rabbi ighfir lee wa tub ‘alayya, innaka anta at-Tawwaab ar-Raheem
Translation:
My Lord, forgive me and accept my repentance...
20. Dua After Sneezing
Arabic:
الْـحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ
Roman:
Alhamdulillah
Translation:
All praise is for Allah.
21. Dua for Good Health
Arabic:
اللّٰهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي بَدَنِي، اللّٰهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي سَمْعِي، اللّٰهُمَّ
عَافِنِي فِي بَصَرِي
Roman:
Allahumma ‘aafinee fee badanee, Allahumma ‘aafinee fee sam’ee, Allahumma
‘aafinee fee basaree
Translation:
O Allah, grant health to my body, O Allah, grant health to my hearing, O Allah,
grant health to my sight.
22. Dua for a Sick Person
Arabic:
اللّٰهُمَّ اشْفِهِ شِفَاءً لَا يُغَادِرُ سَقَمًا
Roman:
Allahumma ishfihee shifaa’an laa yughaadiru saqamaa
Translation:
O Allah, heal him with a healing that leaves behind no illness.
23. Dua for Pain Relief
Arabic:
بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ، أَعُوذُ بِاللّٰهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ
وَأُحَاذِرُ
Roman:
Bismillaah, a’oodhu billaahi wa qudratihi min sharri maa ajidu wa uhaadhir
Translation:
In the name of Allah, I seek refuge in Allah and His power from the evil of
what I feel and fear.
24. Dua for Fear or Panic
Arabic:
اللّٰهُمَّ اكْفِنِيهِمْ بِمَا شِئْتَ
Roman:
Allahumma ikfineehim bimaa shi’ta
Translation:
O Allah, protect me from them in any way You will.
25. Dua for Relief from Stress and
Hardship
Arabic:
حَسْبُنَا اللّٰهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ
Roman:
Hasbunallaahu wa ni’mal wakeel
Translation:
Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs.
26. Dua for Success
Arabic:
رَبِّ نَجِّحْنِي فِيمَا تُحِبُّ وَتَرْضَى
Roman:
Rabbi najjihnee feema tuhibbu wa tardhaa
Translation:
My Lord, grant me success in what You love and are pleased with.
27. Dua for Marriage & Spouse
Arabic:
رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ
Roman:
Rabbanaa hab lanaa min azwaajinaa wa dhurriyaatinaa qurrata a’yunin
Translation:
Our Lord, grant us from our spouses and children comfort to our eyes.
28. Dua for Righteous Children
Arabic:
رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
Roman:
Rabbi hab lee minas-saaliheen
Translation:
My Lord, grant me [offspring] from among the righteous.
29. Dua for Parents
Arabic:
رَبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا
Roman:
Rabbi irhamhumaa kamaa rabbayaanee sagheeraa
Translation:
My Lord, have mercy on them as they brought me up [when I was] small.
30. Dua for Family Protection
Arabic:
اللّٰهُمَّ احْفَظْ أَهْلِي وَذُرِّيَّتِي وَبَارِكْ لِي فِيهِمْ
Roman:
Allahumma ihfaz ahli wa dhurriyyatee wa baarik lee feehim
Translation:
O Allah, protect my family and children and bless them for me.
31. Dua for Seeking Forgiveness
(Istighfar)
Arabic:
أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللّٰهَ رَبِّي مِنْ كُلِّ ذَنْبٍ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ
Roman:
Astaghfirullaaha Rabbi min kulli dhambin wa atoobu ilayh
Translation:
I seek forgiveness from Allah, my Lord, from every sin, and I turn to Him in
repentance.
32. Best Dua for Forgiveness (Sayyidul
Istighfar)
Arabic:
اللّٰهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ...
Roman:
Allahumma anta Rabbi laa ilaaha illa Anta, khalaqtanee wa ana ‘abduka...

Translation:
O Allah, You are my Lord. There is no deity but You. You created me and I am
Your servant...
33. Dua for Protection from Evil Eye
and Envy
Arabic:
أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللّٰهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ
Roman:
A’oodhu bikalimaatillaahit-taammaati min sharri maa khalaq
Translation:
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He created.
34. Dua for Protection from the Devil
(Shaytan)
Arabic:
رَبِّ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ هَمَزَاتِ الشَّيَاطِينِ
Roman:
Rabbi a’oodhu bika min hamazaatish-shayaateen
Translation:
My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the whispers of the devils.
35. Dua Before Entering a Place for
Shelter or Protection
Arabic:
بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ وَلَجْنَا وَبِسْمِ اللّٰهِ خَرَجْنَا وَعَلَى اللّٰهِ
تَوَكَّلْنَا
Roman:
Bismillaahi walajnaa wa bismillaahi kharajnaa wa ‘ala Allaahi tawakkalnaa
Translation:
In the name of Allah, we enter, and in the name of Allah, we leave, and upon
Allah we place our trust.
36. Dua for Sustenance (Rizq)
Arabic:
اللّٰهُمَّ اكْفِنِي بِحَلَالِكَ عَنْ حَرَامِكَ، وَأَغْنِنِي بِفَضْلِكَ عَمَّنْ
سِوَاكَ
Roman:
Allahumma ikfinee bihalaalika ‘an haraamika, wa aghninee bifadlika ‘amman
siwaak
Translation:
O Allah, suffice me with what You have made lawful over what You have made
unlawful, and enrich me by Your grace from all others.
37. Dua for Gratitude
Arabic:
اللّٰهُمَّ أَعِنِّي عَلَى ذِكْرِكَ وَشُكْرِكَ وَحُسْنِ عِبَادَتِكَ
Roman:
Allahumma a’innee ‘ala dhikrika wa shukrika wa husni ‘ibaadatik
Translation:
O Allah, help me to remember You, to be grateful to You, and to worship You in
the best manner.
38. Dua for Spiritual Strength and
Steadfastness
Arabic:
يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ، ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِي عَلَى دِينِكَ
Roman:
Yaa Muqallibal-quloob, thabbit qalbee ‘alaa deenik
Translation:
O Turner of the hearts, make my heart firm upon Your religion.
39. Dua for Increased Iman and
Guidance
Arabic:
رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِنْ
لَدُنكَ رَحْمَةً
Roman:
Rabbanaa laa tuzigh quloobanaa ba’da idh hadaitanaa wa hab lanaa min ladunka
rahmah
Translation:
Our Lord, let not our hearts deviate after You have guided us, and grant us
from Yourself mercy.
40. Dua for Acceptance of Good Deeds
Arabic:
رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّا إِنَّكَ أَنتَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
Roman:
Rabbanaa taqabbal minnaa innaka Antas-Samee’ul-‘Aleem
Translation:
Our Lord, accept this from us. Indeed, You are the All-Hearing, All-Knowing.
41. Dua for Parents (Qur'an 17:24)
Arabic:
رَبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا
Roman:
Rabbi irhamhumaa kamaa rabbayaanii sagheeran
Translation:
My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up [when I was] small.
42. Dua for a Righteous Spouse and
Offspring (Qur'an 25:74)
Arabic:
رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ...
Roman:
Rabbanaa hab lanaa min azwaajinaa wa dhurriyaatinaa qurrata a’yunin...
Translation:
Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and
make us leaders for the righteous.
43. Dua for Entering Paradise (Qur'an
66:11)
Arabic:
رَبِّ ابْنِ لِي عِندَكَ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ
Roman:
Rabbi ibni lee ‘indaka baytan fil-jannah
Translation:
My Lord, build for me near You a house in Paradise.
44. Dua for Laylatul Qadr
Arabic:
اللّٰهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي
Roman:
Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibbul-‘afwa fa’fu ‘anni
Translation:
O Allah, You are Forgiving and love forgiveness, so forgive me.
45. Dua for the Best in this World and
the Hereafter (Qur'an 2:201)
Arabic:
رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً...
Roman:
Rabbanaa aatinaa fid-dunyaa hasanah wa fil-aakhirati hasanah...
Translation:
Our Lord, grant us the good of this world and the good of the Hereafter and
save us from the punishment of the Fire.
46. Dua When Performing Hajj or Umrah
(Talbiyah)
Arabic:
لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ، لَبَّيْكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ لَبَّيْكَ...
Roman:
Labbayk Allahumma labbayk, labbayka laa shareeka laka labbayk...
Translation:
Here I am, O Allah, here I am. Here I am, You have no partner, here I am...
47. Dua for Success in Hereafter
(Qur'an 3:193)
Arabic:
رَبَّنَا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَكَفِّرْ عَنَّا سَيِّئَاتِنَا...
Roman:
Rabbanaa faghfir lanaa dhunoobanaa wa kaffir ‘annaa sayyi’aatinaa...
Translation:
Our Lord, forgive us our sins and remove from us our misdeeds and cause us to
die with the righteous.
48. Dua to Die as a Muslim (Qur'an
12:101)
Arabic:
تَوَفَّنِي مُسْلِمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ
Roman:
Tawaffanee musliman wa alhiqnee bis-saaliheen
Translation:
Cause me to die a Muslim and join me with the righteous.
49. Dua for Light on Judgment Day
(Qur'an 66:8)
Arabic:
رَبَّنَا أَتْمِمْ لَنَا نُورَنَا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا
Roman:
Rabbanaa atmim lanaa nooranaa waghfir lanaa
Translation:
Our Lord, perfect for us our light and forgive us.
50. Dua for Acceptance of Repentance
(Qur'an 2:128)
Arabic:
رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّا إِنَّكَ أَنتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ
Roman:
Rabbanaa taqabbal minnaa innaka anta At-Tawwaabu Ar-Raheem
Translation:
Our Lord, accept [this] from us. Indeed, You are the Accepting of repentance,
the Merciful.
51. Dua for Healing from Illness
Arabic:
اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ النَّاسِ، أَذْهِبِ الْبَأْسَ، اشْفِ أَنْتَ الشَّافِي...
Roman:
Allahumma Rabb an-naas, adhhib al-ba’s, ishfi anta ash-Shaafi...
Translation:
O Allah, Lord of mankind, remove the harm and heal, You are the Healer. There
is no healing except Your healing, a healing that leaves behind no illness.
52. Dua for a Sick Person
Arabic:
أَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ الْعَظِيمَ رَبَّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ أَنْ يَشْفِيَكَ
Roman:
As’alullaahal-‘Azeem Rabbal-‘Arshil-‘Azeem an yashfiyak
Translation:
I ask Allah, the Mighty, the Lord of the Mighty Throne, to cure you.
53. Dua for Protection from Evil Eye
and Jealousy (Surah Al-Falaq)
Arabic:

wal-jubni wal-bukhl, wa ghalabatid-dayni wa qahrir-rijaal.
Translation:
O Allah, I seek refuge with You from worry and sorrow, from incapacity and
laziness, from cowardice and miserliness, from being overwhelmed by debt and
overpowered by men.
62. Dua for Ease in Affairs
Arabic:
اللَّهُمَّ لا سَهْلَ إِلَّا مَا جَعَلْتَهُ سَهْلًا، وَأَنْتَ تَجْعَلُ الْحَزْنَ
إِذَا شِئْتَ سَهْلًا
Roman:
Allahumma la sahla illa ma ja‘altahu sahla, wa anta taj‘alu al-hazna idha
shi’ta sahla.
Translation:
O Allah, there is no ease except what You make easy. You make sorrow, if You
wish, easy.

Arabic:
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ، وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ
بِاللَّهِ
Roman:
Bismillah, tawakkaltu ‘ala Allah, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah.
Translation:
In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no power nor
might except with Allah.

رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ...

Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and
make us leaders for the righteous.

رَضِيتُ بِاللَّهِ رَبًّا، وَبِالإِسْلَامِ دِينًا، وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ نَبِيًّا
Roman:
Radiytu billahi Rabbaw, wabil-Islami deenan, wabi-Muhammadin ﷺ nabiyyan.
Translation:
I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, Islam as my religion, and Muhammad ﷺ as my
Prophet.

All praise is for Allah who gave us life after having taken it from us and unto
Him is the resurrection.

كَثِيرٍ مِمَّنْ خَلَقَ تَفْضِيلًا
Roman:
Alhamdulillahi allathee ‘aafaani mimma ibtalaaka bihi, wa faddalani ‘ala
katheerin mimman khalaqa tafdila.
Translation:
All praise is due to Allah who has spared me from what He has afflicted you
with and favored me greatly above much of what He has created.
72. Dua for Guidance and Steadfastness
Arabic:
اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِنِي وَسَدِّدْنِي
Roman:
Allahumma ihdini wa saddidni.
Translation:
O Allah, guide me and keep me steadfast.

character beautiful as well.

اللَّهُمَّ صَيِّبًا نَافِعًا
Roman:
Allahumma sayyiban naafi‘a.
Translation:
O Allah, (make it) a beneficial rain.
79. Dua for Breaking Fast
Arabic:
ذَهَبَ الظَّمَأُ وَابْتَلَّتِ الْعُرُوقُ، وَثَبَتَ الأَجْرُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ
Roman:
Dhahaba adh-dhama’u wabtallat al-‘urooqu wa thabata al-ajru in shaa’ Allah.
Translation:
The thirst has gone, the veins are moistened and the reward is confirmed, if
Allah wills.
80. Dua for Laylatul Qadr
Arabic:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ العَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي
Roman:
Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibbul-‘afwa fa‘fu ‘anni.
Translation:
O Allah, indeed You are Pardoning, You love to pardon, so pardon me.
91. Dua to Start Ablution (Wudu)
Arabic:
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ

Bismillah

Arabic:
أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، وَأَشْهَدُ

Roman:
Ashhadu alla ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lahu, wa ashhadu anna
Muhammadan ‘abduhu wa rasuluhu.
Allahumma aj‘alni mina-t-tawwabina, waj‘alni mina-l-mutatahhirin.
Translation:
I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone,
without any partner, and that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger.
O Allah, make me among those who repent and those who purify themselves.
93. Dua When You Fear Harm from a
Group
Arabic:
اللَّهُمَّ اكْفِنِيهِمْ بِمَا شِئْتَ
Roman:
Allahummakfinihim bima shi’ta.
Translation:
O Allah, protect me from them in whatever way You will.
94. Dua When You’re Sad or Distressed
Arabic:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ
الْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْجُبْنِ وَالْبُخْلِ، وَأَعُوذُ
بِكَ مِنْ غَلَبَةِ الدَّيْنِ وَقَهْرِ الرِّجَالِ
Roman:
Allahumma inni a‘udhu bika minal-hammi wal-hazan, wa a‘udhu bika minal-‘ajzi
wal-kasal, wa a‘udhu bika minal-jubni wal-bukhl, wa a‘udhu bika min
ghalabatid-dayni wa qahrir-rijal.
Translation:
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and grief, from weakness and
laziness, from cowardice and miserliness, and from the burden of debt and from
being overpowered by men.
95. Dua for Ease in All Affairs
Arabic:
اللَّهُمَّ لَا سَهْلَ إِلَّا مَا جَعَلْتَهُ سَهْلًا، وَأَنْتَ تَجْعَلُ
الْحَزْنَ إِذَا شِئْتَ سَهْلًا
Roman:
Allahumma la sahla illa ma ja‘altahu sahla, wa anta taj‘alu al-hazna idha
shi’ta sahla.
Translation:
O Allah, there is no ease except what You make easy, and You can make the
difficult easy if You wish.
96. Dua for Guidance in
Decision-Making (Istikhara - Short Form)
Arabic:
اللَّهُمَّ خِرْ لِي وَاخْتَرْ لِي
Roman:
Allahumma khir li wakhtar li.
Translation:
O Allah, choose and decide what is best for me.

Arabic:
رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّا إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
Roman:
Rabbana taqabbal minna innaka anta as-sami‘u al-‘alim.
Translation:
Our Lord, accept [this] from us. Indeed, You are the Hearing, the Knowing.
98. Dua When Experiencing Hardship
Arabic:
حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ، عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَهُوَ رَبُّ
الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ
Roman:
Hasbiyallahu la ilaha illa huwa, ‘alayhi tawakkaltu wa huwa
rabbul-‘arshil-‘azim.
Translation:
Allah is sufficient for me; there is no god but Him. I place my trust in Him,
and He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne.
99. Dua to Increase Knowledge
Arabic:
رَبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا
Roman:
Rabbi zidni ‘ilma.
Translation:
My Lord, increase me in knowledge.

English Translation
In the Name of Allah. O Allah, keep the Shayṭān away from us, and keep
the Shayṭān away from what You grant us (i.e., children).
